Pottery & Glass / Decorative Cookware, Dinnerware & Serveware / Cup & Saucers
These are 3 antique sets of Demitasse Tea Cups and Saucers made by ROYAL DOULTON in the pattern called Old Leeds Sprays. This pattern was made between 1912 and 1942, and the backstamp on these, without the lion on top of the crown, shows they are probably made in the earlier range, before 1923. They are in good antique shape, with no cracks or chips, but some pieces do have crazing, especially where the glaze was painted on thicker, as I see on the inside edge of one of the cups (see the last picture); the glaze is still smooth to the touch. The saucers are about 4 & 1/4 inches in diameter and the cups are 2 & 1/4 inches in diameter and the cup saucer set stands about 2 inches tall. They are an interesting octagonal shape, edged in green with sprays of red, yellow and blue flowers and ribbons, sometimes painted in blue and sometimes red. The handle is different too, it is a squared off, with a green trellis design painted on it. Please zoom in on the pictures for a closer look and the 360 degree video too. I pack with lots of bubble wrap for safe shipping. Any questions, please ask, and thanks for looking!
